Biography & Metadata

Grammy and Latin Grammy–winning artist Gaby Moreno is a singer-songwriter and producer whose warm, soulful sound bridges English and Spanish. Since moving to Los Angeles from her native Guatemala, she has released nine albums and earned major honors, including a Grammy win for X Mí (Vol. 1) (Best Latin Pop Album, 2024), Grammy nominations for Alegoría and Illusion, and two Latin Grammy Awards. A defining voice in modern Americana, Moreno has shared the stage with artists such as Tracy Chapman, Ani DiFranco, Mavis Staples, Buena Vista Social Club, and Chris Thile. Moreno’s work spans music, film, television, and theater. She co-wrote the theme for Parks and Recreation, contributed music to Orange Is the New Black, The Valet, and Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, and wrote and performed “El Saber” for the acclaimed film Radical. Her album Dusk, co-produced with Dan Knobler and featuring Oscar Isaac on “Luna de Xelajú,” marked a deeply personal chapter in her career and was followed by standout performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Good Morning America. In 2026, she makes her Broadway debut as Persephone in Hadestown, while continuing her advocacy as the first UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador from Guatemala.
