Biography & Metadata
Sea of Days is a project started in 2022 by Shane Speed that fuses the lyricism of The National, with elements of the early 90’s sound of Shoegaze Classics and Dreampop. Fans of bands such as Ride, The Cure, Cocteau Twins and Slowdive will find much to love in the music. After years away from creation a bout of poor health provided the impetus to complete the debut album ‘Adrift’. The title and name of the band is taken from a line in the song ‘Small Step’ which goes ‘you are adrift in a sea of days’. That line encapsulates how we can all feel sometimes and yet with these songs there is always a sense of hope, of moving forward and finding a purpose in life. Of no longer feeling Adrift.
