Biography & Metadata

DJ Pasta is the alias of Italian DJ and producer Davide Piva, currently releasing a new track every month throughout 2026. Moving freely between disco house, French touch, Brazilian influences, percussion-heavy grooves and leftfield dance music, the series is an ongoing exploration of the different corners of his club oriented sound. As DJ Pasta, he has released music on labels including Toucan Sounds, Raibano Records, Rollover Milano and The Basement Discos, with his tracks also reworked by influential names such as Italian DJ pioneer Daniele Baldelli. Before launching the project, DJ Pasta built a long history within the Italian independent music scene as a member of Amari and, most notably, the nu-disco duo Fare Soldi. A familiar name to modern disco aficionados, Fare Soldi released original music and remixes through Kitsuné, Southern Fried, Ministry of Sound and their own Riotmaker Records, earning support from artists including Armand Van Helden, A-Trak, Alan Braxe and Dimitri From Paris. Over the years, DJ Pasta has collaborated with artists such as Sam Sparro, toured internationally from Los Angeles to Seoul and shared stages with Calvin Harris, Mr. Oizo and SebastiAn. Fare Soldi's unofficial rework of Blackstreet's “No Diggity” has also passed 1.3 million streams on Spotify. DJ Pasta s now leveraging his musical influences to take a step further into the realm of rhythm, one new release at a time.
