Biography & Metadata

Nocturnis is a five-piece black metal band from the Black Forest region of southern Germany, known for combining atmospheric intensity with historically informed concept albums. Formed in 2019, the band first gained underground attention with their debut EP “Aporia” (2020) and their acclaimed first full-length “Unsegen” (2022), which earned favorable reviews across metal press. Live, Nocturnis have built their reputation through supporting roles for established acts including Suffocation, Thron, Kanonenfieber, Grima and Agathodaimon. With their second album “Drangsal” (2026) they continue their trajectory — blending historical subject matter, black metal and a clear aesthetic vision into a unified work, produced internally by guitarist Vincent Padrutt with mixing and mastering by Nikita Kamprad. Precise, tremolo-driven riffing meets dense atmosphere and historically informed, German-language concept songwriting. Their second album “Drangsal” – a concept album about the European witch hunts, mixed and mastered by Nikita Kamprad – is released on 06 November 2026 via Fetzner Death Records.
