Biography & Metadata

The Sixies started in 2017 as a work-based band headquartered in Charlottesville, VA (US). Originally boasting 18 members, The Sixies included artists from Hong Kong, Singapore, and throughout the US. By the time of their debut single, You Checked Out, in 2019, The Sixies were down to 11 members. Since then, artists come and go and it's now a side project for Paul R Johnson, the driving force behind Ho Jo Fro. Throughout 2025, The Sixies partnered with both Ho Jo Fro and the band LY@TT (pronounced "Late"). For example, listen to Ho Jo Fro's 2025 single What Is It For? featuring co-vocalist Kleidi Buroz from Venezuela and LY@TT's Are You Squared?, also featuring Kleidi. In January 2026, The Sixies made an appearance on LY@TT's latest album called "Better LY@TT Than Never." In April 2026, The Sixies collaborated on Ask Me (feat. Kelly O'donohue). Check it out!
