Louisville’s emerging multifaceted artist, Ty!, is redefining the sounds of hip-hop that everyone fell in love with. At age fourteen, Ty struggled to search for a new creative outlet. “Listening to music was just a way of letting go,” Ty explains, “You get a break from everything going on around you.” Inspired by his older brother, an aspiring producer, Ty decided to record his first song at his father’s house, making beats on his computer and recording with a microphone gifted to him years earlier. After completing his first song, he wanted to do nothing more; Ty was immediately drawn to the craft. Constantly writing, recording, and freestyling, Ty started improving his craft over the following years. Steadily, Ty matured as a musician. Not only does Ty create music that is entertaining and speaks to his audience, but it is also something he feels proud to produce. At fifteen, Ty collaborated with Jorden Brooks, a local Louisville artist, and began to not only a form a work relationship through the music, but a genuine friendship. Shortly after, Ty began working with a local music video and clothing production company, Belrok, producing more music, filming music videos, and establishing his brand. Now, at age 20, Ty has released four projects with the newest being the release of his mixtape, ‘RED’. At such a young age, ty! continues to evolve and deliver a sense of true authenticity behind every release.
