Nogymx

Jimmy Dunne, known as Nogymx, is an Irish-born artist/producer based in South Korea. Renowned for his mix of traditional sounds from his adopted home, old-school boom bap, and ethereal soundscapes, Nogymx has crafted a unique space for himself in the instrumental hip hop scene. Growing up as a self-described hip-hop head, Jimmy drew early inspiration from legendary producers such as DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, J Dilla, and Kanye West before discovering the more electronic-based sounds of Emancipator, Tor, and Shlohmo. As his sound grew so did his inspirations with Nujabes, Uyama Hiroto, & Marcus D, playing a huge role in shaping the distinct tone of his current work. Described by Stereofox as “floating in a cross-genre sweet-spot that splits the difference between Bonobo and Freddie Joachim” his music has landed the Irish artist on over 200,000 user playlists with over 120 million streams across all streaming platforms Over the last 10 the South Korea-based producer has worked with some of the biggest labels such as Lofi Girl and Hip Dozer, and artists in the scene including Saib, Kalaido, Tenno, softy, and many more. He was also invited to create an official remix for the launch of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows - The Fujibayashi Legacy - Nogymx Remix - in March 2025, further cementing his status as a key figure in the lo-fi and chillhop community. With over 200 songs under his belt, the now 34-year-old producer shows no signs of slowing down as we head for 2026.
