Biography & Metadata
Born Andy Fisher, Twenty9 gained interest in music from an early age. As a kid, Fisher played sports and wanted to become an NBA player. He grew up listening to artists like Drake , Playboi Carti , YoungBoy Never Broke Again , and Juice WRLD . Twenty9 realized he wanted to take music seriously during his senior year of high school. Fisher originally went by the stage name "Lil Fish". He suffered from mental health issues and drug addiction in his adolescence. As a result, Twenty9 was admitted to various mental hospitals through his early years. Often feeling misunderstood, Fisher turned to music as a way to escape the pressures of society. Fisher learned how to write, mix, and master songs in his early adulthood. Experimenting with themes like heartbreak, mental health, and addiction; he aimed to inspire those who felt lost in life. Somewhere between rap and harmonious melodies, Twenty9 was striving to create a new vibration in the popular soundscape. After relapsing once again in 2025, Fisher got back to working on music. He had spent the past year experimenting with BandLab. He released the exploratory project Chop Wood, Carry Water . Following more complications with his addiction, Twenty9 returned to the studio in 2026. He released I Got Goals To Reach , a project with songs compiled from different eras. He also released multiple singles, and updated his catalogue with throwbacks. Fisher’s recent release, IAMDRUGS highlights his long lasting battle with addiction.
