Slow Drift Year

Based in the Pacific Northwest, Slow Drift Year crafts a sound that blends raw alt-rock energy with atmospheric indie textures. Influenced by bands like Third Eye Blind, Radiohead, and Jimmy Eat World, the music balances driving guitar riffs with reflective melodies. A multi-instrumentalist, Steven Young recorded every part himself—guitars, bass, drums, and vocals—layering them into a vision that feels both intimate and expansive. His debut work, created in collaboration with producer Kris Crummett, adds a polished edge while holding onto the grit and emotion at its core. SDY writes for the moments you can't explain but can feel.
