Biography & Metadata
Dopekond is the stage name of Mohamed Kandid, a Moroccan singer, songwriter, and music producer born on December 18, 2008, in Casablanca, Morocco. His music blends alternative pop, R&B, synth-pop, and atmospheric electronic influences, creating an emotional and cinematic sound rooted in personal storytelling. His journey with music began in 2017. According to dopekond the first time he truly listened to music, he felt as though he had entered another world. That experience inspired him to begin writing songs and producing music, shaping an artistic identity built on honesty, vulnerability, and emotion. Before releasing his first project, Dopekond experienced a complex relationship that he later described as a toxic relationship. Lasting one year and three months, it was based almost entirely on eye contact rather than direct communication. After it ended, he turned his emotions into music, writing the songs that became his debut album. In 2026, he released End Eyes and Darija and Make Them Cry EP End Eyes a five-track debut album exploring love, heartbreak, regret, loneliness, depression, and personal growth. As an independent artist, Dopekond writes, produces, and performs his own music, transforming deeply personal experiences into songs that connect with listeners through authenticity, emotion, and immersive production. and dopekond inspired by The Weeknd and Michael Jackson
