Swedish progrock legends THE FLOWER KINGS will return on October 23rd 2026 with the new studio album 'HOPE'- The group’s 2nd studio record of a trilogy - with the solid line up of drummer Mirko DeMaio and keyboardist Lalle Larsson (also of Steve Hackett band) plus founding members Hasse Fröberg, Michael Stolt and Roine Stolt. The band is currently on a creative high, recording new material annually - Guitarist Roine Stolt elaborates on finding treasures in the vaults for the new record HOPE , saying, “It was great to reconnect with ideas and songs of some lenght (epics) but giving them fresh costumes - experimental but still very melodic. ' With founding bassplayer Michael Stolt back and Lalle Larsson contribution keyboards and his 20 min opening epic it all feels fresh and inspired again. Remembering where we came from - we’re ’brothers' in a journey of exploring bands like Yes, Genesis, Zappa, Weather Report, Chic Corea, King Crimson, etc., so the reference points are evident. This album however has more of an orchestral foundation - Violins, French Horns, Orchestral percussion push these song sometimes further into our classical heritage - but still with the pop sensibility and vocal harmonies of The Beatles, Bowie or CSN&Y” 'The follow-up to 2025’s LOVE, a bold artistic statement.
