The Crown of Yamhad

The metal project is based on a fusion between Gothic Metal, and oriental and orchestral elements. The band was founded by El, a German-Syrian composer and songwriter, and the Oudist Muhammad Shehadeh, and was later joined by Sarah Poidomani (violin) and Fiammetta Poidomani (vocals). The first two albums (The Ghost of Zanoubia 2015, and Last Visions 2017) were characterized by a vintage atmospheric sound and released on digital platforms. Lyrics deal with tragedies, mythology, death, war and inner struggles. Since the November 2019, Finna Björnsdottir took over the duties for female vocals. The newest EP „What Ghosts Reveal“ features atmospheric doom/gothic Metal with angelic female voice and orchestral parts.
