Safiyyah (pronounced Suh-fee-ah) is a West London based Portuguese and Moroccan Singer Songwriter Growing up in Latimer/Ladbroke Grove from a young age, Safiyyah self taught and has always been involved in music one way or another, taking every opportunity to create She knows how to use her writing to open eyes to nostalgia, relationships and since the Grenfell Tragedy especially, community and struggle. Safiyyah’s unique sound and voice have taken elements from the Neo Soul, low fi, R&B and Alt R&B scene With a backlog of many gigs, Safiyyah has been recognised through live performances at amazing venues such as, Roundhouse Camden, Hootenanny, Wireless Festival Climate Live, The Grace, Cloud X Festival and supporting acts such as Kofi Stone, Sonia Ammar and more She has received recognition across platforms some including BBC Radio 1, Capital XTRA, Reprezent FM, BBC Introducing and more. Safiyyah has also had coverage from platforms and publications such as Notion, Wonderland, GRM Daily, and Colours. She has also been recognised as Jamz Supernova’s EP of the week of her debut EP ‘Third Eye’ on BBC 1xtra. Safiyyah continues to build a catalogue that cements her as one of the UK’s most exciting up and coming artists.
