Southgate

SouthGate is a Metal band based in Madrid, created by Alberto Gil and Diego Chozas in 2009. After some years crafting their own brand of metal, they joined forces with Pablo Yañez and Luismi The Night in 2015 to go and release their unique sound into the world as a fully functional band. SouthGate released their first EP "Memories of Redemption" in 2016. After a period of extensive touring that took the band all around Spain and a few selected dates in Europe, 2019 saw the release of their second effort, the aptly titled "Revelations" EP. Once proved they are here to stay, the band retreated to their headquarters to write new material for a 2025 release and re-record a curated selection of their early material, released in October 2024 under the name "Metal Is Over All". 2025 will be an intense year for both the band and fans, as they are currently adding the finishing touches to their 4th album, set to be recorded next Spring. With a faster, angrier, and meaner straight-to-your-face sound, SouthGate will, once again, hit the ground running. Check your local venues for dates, as their fierce and crushing live act is something you don't want to miss. With eyes set on the horizon and a now-or-never attitude, the SouthGate machine is gathering speed once again. There's a lot more to come and, as their flagship song proclaims, METAL IS OVER ALL!
