Slaapzac

Slaapzac emerged from the quiet landscapes of northern Belgium, where a fascination with music began at an early age. Growing up in the 1980s, he first explored the world of DJing before moving into music production, gradually developing a sound that values atmosphere, emotion, and experimentation over genre boundaries. In 2020, Slaapzac decided to take production more seriously, leading to a growing catalog of releases spanning lo-fi, boom bap, hip-hop, and other styles. Rather than following a single formula, his music moves freely between moods and influences, creating a diverse listening experience for curious ears. The name Slaapzac reflects a laid-back approach to music: warm sounds, nostalgic atmospheres and unexpected ideas. Some tracks are calm and reflective, others energetic or playful, but all share a curiosity for exploring new directions.
