The Jimmy Neutron of Music, Kysharn Kennedy, professionally known as MiSTah Kye (or MK), is a rapper and songwriter from North-West London reshaping the boundaries of independent artistry. 4 years in and he has amassed over 150 million streams across all major platforms without a label, management, or team, building his entire career from a mobile setup using the DAW Garageband. What began with a jailbroken iPhone 5 evolved into a signature sound, now marked by his engineer tag: “What? MiSTah Kye Mixed This On A Phone?” His unique recording process fuses professional equipment with DIY creativity, resulting in a sonic identity that is raw, emotional, and deeply personal. In 2021, Kye’s track “The Talking Stage Game”, sampling Shiloh Dynasty, gained viral momentum and reached #17 on the independent UK charts. It offered an early glimpse into his potential and validated his unorthodox approach. Since then, he has released projects like Recovery and his seasonal tape series Retrogress (Season 1), Retrospect (Season 2), and RetroEnd (Season 3), continuing to build a cohesive world around his music while growing a loyal fanbase known as the MK Army.
