Biography & Metadata
Laura Korinth is a Berlin-based independent artist, producer, author and researcher of Guyanese, Arawak, German and English heritage. Born between gods and machines, she creates cinematic sonic worlds where myth, science and the future collide. Her debut album, LETHE: Between the Worlds, is fully self-written, self-produced and self-mixed. Blending analog grit with digital futurism, she transforms ancestral memory and lived experience into sound. Raised within a high-control apocalyptic religious community, music became her rebellion. Entirely self-taught, she built her practice through experimentation. Korinth, her real name, was once an ancient city. Through her, it becomes a sonic realm where mythology meets machinery. Her work carries echoes of Guyana and her Arawak roots. Her academic research focuses on discrimination against women in popular music and explores how therapeutic pedagogical approaches can be transferred into the music industry. Featured in Mixmag Print, DJ Mag and FAZEmag, she has performed at Wurzelfestival, Volksbühne Berlin and Johnny Knüppel. Her artistic work and academic research are preserved in cultural archives. She wrote the lyrics for Boris Brejcha 's Gravity, released on Ultra Records and certified Gold. Her tracks feel like films, personal yet universal. Fierce, cinematic and uncompromising, Laura Korinth creates music for those who live between worlds.
