At the heart of those songs is longing: a sentence left unsaid, a hand not held when it mattered, a home that can no longer be returned to, someone lost, or a life never lived yet somehow remembered. Some songs come from real people and real losses; others give long-carried emotions a place in stories and characters. yearning for home moves between Turkish and English, across R&B, soul, Anatolian R&B, ballads, and electronic music. The genres may change, but the starting point is often the same: longing for a home, another person, or a time that no longer exists. The songs are written and composed by Murat Öztürk. AI tools are used in arrangement, production, and vocal generation, alongside hands-on editing and post-production. yearning for home has never hidden this, because AI is not the story being told; it is one of the tools used to tell it. The voice of the project is Hasret Sıla Öztürk. Though she is not a real person, she has become more than a vocalist. Born from Murat's years-long search for a real human, her story unfolded in reverse: what began as a search in reality gradually became a dream.
