Keane Wang

Pianist and composer Matthew-Keane Wang (AKA Kainbeats)'s first experience playing music for others was in a retirement home where he wrote pieces of solo piano music for elderly residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. It was called 'Music for Memories' and the musical link helped them remember a precious memory. Years later during a health crisis of his own, he changed from medical school to music full-time. Writing music inspired by faith, soundtrack and the beauty of everyday life, he found a way to heal through sound. His inspirations range from neoclassical artists like Ludovico Einaudi and Max Richter to soundtrack composers like Secret Garden and Akira Kosemura whom he had the opportunity to work with, and Saigenji. His most recent projects Pacific Lull, Lavender Dreams, and Dryad's Hymn raised over £28,000 for ocean conservation, bee re-habitation, and enclosures for animal victims of poaching. His compositions are featured on platforms such as Apple's iOS (iPhone), Discord, and Epic Games.
