KY

dark. mysterious. different. lost. passionate. angry. strong. KY's songs are danceable, hard, unique. Their sound is electronic and direct. Acey's lyrics are deep, intimate and dark with personal stories about her past. unfulfilled love, sex, her battle with depression and cancer and how she has managed to survive so far. Their show is a mix of professional and yet emotional vocals (Acey) and spectacular live drums (Stephen), costumes, emotions, strong beats and of course Acey's unique voice, which is strongly reminiscent of Alison Moyet or Annie Lennox. In 2019 they celebrated their debut supporting Kosheen. Acey's cancer disease & treatment and COVID forced them to take it slow until summer 2023, when they released their first single "grey room" as KY. In March 2025 they released their debut album "dark chapters". They are currently working on their second studio album, while playing several shows and festivals. In February and March of 2027 they will be touring 17 shows as the exclusive support for Forced To Mode through Germany, Austria and Czech Republic.
