Daniele Filaretti

I grew up in Italy during the '90s, when dance music was everywhere. I stumbled into music production by accident when I was 14, after a friend handed me a copy of a weird software called Magix Music Maker 2000, which quickly became the main way to spend my free time. My journey started with hardcore/gabber, leading to a vinyl release on G-Net Records, a sublabel of the legendary Traxtorm Records when I was still in high school. But I've never been very good at staying in one place musically. Hardcore/speedcore, free tekno, psytrance (especially the early 2000s sound), chiptune... until I finally discovered uplifting trance around 2012 and got hooked! Since my very first trance release "Bright Sand" in 2020, I've been fortunate enough to be able to release music on leading labels such as FSOE, VANDIT, Chasing Dreams, Regenerate and Extrema, and collaborate with amazing artist and friends. My music received support by industry legends such as Aly and Fila, Paul van Dyk, Steve Allen, Alex MORPH, XiJaro and Pitch, Darren Porter and many others. Away from the studio, I have a PhD in computer science and work as a researcher and software engineer (currently in cybersecurity). Over the years I also had the privilege of working in the music industry developing music software and audio plugins and collaborating with companies such as SSL, Loopcloud (then owned by Beatport) and others. I'm also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and dad to three cats!
