Biography & Metadata

Mope started making music in 2016, when he was only 14 years old, and gradually experimented with different genres. In his work, he often mixes elements of rap with other styles such as techno, metal vocals or jazz samples, which forms a rather unconventional sound. Among his more famous albums are "Psychiatric Need" (2021), "Purzhilka" (2021) and "Exiled beyond reality" (better known as "Z.I.R.") from 2023. To date, he has over 100 released songs, with his total discography exceeding five hours of music. His tracks range from dark and heavy to aggressive and dynamic, and sometimes more melancholic and sad. Although less common, more ironic or funny songs can also be found in his catalog. In his lyrics, he touches on both personal experiences and social topics or observations on the music scene in Bulgaria and beyond. Mope is distinguished by an experimental approach that is not often found in the Bulgarian rap scene. He doesn't only craft boundary-pushing music but also stands as the creator of the label, 136 Records.
