Biography & Metadata
Morris Fraser – Edinburgh, Scotland Martin Mcleish – Barcelona, Spain Mike Paterson – Melbourne, Australia Three school friends from Glasgow, Scotland formed a band, The Plastic Flies, playing together from 1979 to 1983. With Morris’s musical talent, Mike’s guitar skills, and Martin’s charismatic presence as frontman, they worked hard and achieved moderate success, performing gigs and touring across Scotland. Their 45 single release received national radio airplay, and they secured support slots on two separate tours with The Clash. However, differing levels of ambition eventually led them to part ways, scattering across the globe. The last time they saw each other in person was 20 January 1983. Fast forward to 2017— contact was rekindled. Morris had continued to pursue his passion for music, developing his home studio in Edinburgh. Mike remained active as a guitarist, while Martin revisited his love for lyrics and creativity. This reunion sparked a new project, fittingly named The Resurrection Club — a celebration of both their friendship and their musical rebirth. Recording and demo sessions took place in Melbourne and Edinburgh — always remotely. Up to today, they haven’t met again since 1983. Initially, the project was guided by award-winning engineer Alberto Pérez at Sol de Sants Studios, and more recently, they have been refining their sound and direction with visionary producer and DJ Robin Twelftree (The Prodigy) at his Barcelona-based studio.
