Insta: @joey_dogz_redbone Joey is a multiracial artist who was born and raised in Northeast Houston in the Trinity Gardens area. He began creative writing at a young age to mentally escape the stresses of a low income, high crime upbringing. He began hustling at a young age giving him a reason to make money to help his mother, and also get out of the house away from his father, when his father was at home. Throughout his life he has had to provide for those that need it the most, without thinking about himself in the process. At the age of 19 he made a choice to join the military spending the next 9 years in the U.S. Navy as a late Desert Storm and early War on Terror veteran, discharging from the Navy at 28 in order to be a recording artist for an independent record label in Houston. Recording a 21-track album in 6 months, Joey ended up relocating his family to North Texas at the end of 2003 in order to raise his son in a better environment. He has spent the next 20 years as a fixer for attorneys in the North Texas area while raising his son and his daughter. He is still married to his wife of 30 years, and he is still writing, recording, and creating, while helping his son get on his feet in the entertainment industry.
