Yasu Cub

Yasu Cub is an indie rock project based in Tokyo & Seattle. Spending a lifetime drifting between the U.S. and Japan, singer-songwriter Jacob Oki Ahearn draws from the indie folk/alt-country scenes of the American South and Pacific Northwest, as well as the contemporary shoegaze/dream pop scenes emerging in Tokyo. The result is a softer, slowcore-tinged iteration of indie rock that feels suspended between two worlds. Discography: Jan. 2023 - “Highways” (Album) Feb. 2024 - “Elevator” (EP) Nov. 2024 - “Room Without a Ceiling” (EP) Mar. 2026 - “my early years, your spiral arms” (Album) yasucub.com
