Biography & Metadata
Captivated in his youth by Kraftwerk’s live performance in his home town of Sheffield in the UK, Darkly A.M. instantly knew that electronic music would feed his soul. He is perhaps better known as half of the downtempo duo @Animat that lasted for 15 years, performing in the UK and Europe. After the sudden death of the other half of the duo. Darkly A.M. took a break to consider his future around making music. Darkly A.M. has now ventured solo into new sonic territory and established his new melodic house sound that has impacted the Beatport charts and saw his tracks Fabula, Progologic and Something Like This hit the top 10 in the Prog house charts. 2024 has been busy for Darkly A.M. with remixes, collaborations and releases already out or in the pipeline, plus supporting DJ sets for Just Her and Banco de Gaia He runs a playlist for melodic house.
