Chris Maragoth

Chris Maragoth is a German symphonic and gothic metal composer whose music explores darkness and melancholy through cinematic soundscapes. Founded in 2017, the self-titled project blends elements of modern rock, melodic metal, and orchestral grandeur. His releases – including the acclaimed album Gatherer of Souls (2023) and the latest EP Depths of Despair (2025) – combine atmospheric storytelling with symphonic intensity and emotional depth. Handling every step himself, from songwriting and recording to mixing, Chris creates immersive sound worlds but also collaborates with guest musicians for a rich artistic exchange. Previous works such as the Tales EP, the single Behind This Door, and the album Gatherer of Souls earned international recognition, including placements on “Albums of the Year” lists by Metal Devastation Radio and GRIMM Gent.
