Biography & Metadata
MicroMatscenes is the solo project of the Italian musician, singer and producer Matteo Guarino. The music only has one rule: being the true 80s/90s RetroWave, with authentic vintage sound and immediate feeling of revival. Unlike other producers of instrumental RetroWave/Outrun music, the aesthetics of MicroMatscenes are mostly based on his personal image. The music is strongly inspired by movie and videogames soundtracks, but of course there’s a lot of influence by 80s pop and rock and R&B musical background. An EP of duets with Mayah Camara is currently in the works. Matteo also curates a playlist: A RetroWave Story
