Eli Waltz

Eli Waltz is a folk songwriter working at the crossroads of Americana, blues, and traditional country. Rooted in fingerstyle guitar and harmonica, his songs draw deeply from folk and country traditions while often weaving in blues, classical, and global influences. Raised in Massachusetts, Waltz spent his early adulthood traveling throughout China, South America, the Middle East, and Europe, busking to make ends meet and absorbing local musical traditions. In his mid-twenties, he lived in Washington, D.C., where he co-founded an acclaimed cocktail bar in 2019. The late nights, conversations, and rituals of that world became narrative fuel for his songwriting, and led him to curate playlists with bartenders, including Modern Americana & Old Gems, which continues to gain a wide following. Since his debut, Waltz has released multiple EPs and singles, earning international press and a growing global audience. Called “a standout figure in the contemporary Americana scene” (Americana Curious), he approaches folk music as a living form that is collaborative, evolving, and grounded in place. He now lives in Switzerland with his family, writing and recording his music in his studio nestled by Lake Geneva.
